For the 2nd straight week, the S&P 500 dropped 20 points or more. Prognosticators call this a market pull back or a correction. For investors like you and I, it's know as less money in our investment accounts.
The buy and hold investor lost about $330 this past week and saw his total balanced ETF portfolio drop to $14,076.98. His total gain for for the past 31 weeks is 40.2%, still very good but he has lost almost 5% in two weeks.
The moving average investor currently has the same portfolio and lost $224 this past week. Total portfolio balance is $10,308.10 for a 2.6% gain in 31 weeks.
Just a reminder... the buy and hold investor went all in back in March while the moving average investor waited for the 50 day moving average to move above the 200 day moving average before investing in the ETFs from the balanced portfolio.
