Investor A (buy and hold ETF investing) saw his portfolio increase about $250 this past week to a total value of $14019.08. That is a staggering 39% plus increase in just over 6 months. This does take a bit of the sting out the horrendous bear market we all just experienced.
Investor B (moving average ETF investor) saw his portfolio increase over $150 this past week to a total value of $10302.16. This is a 2.6% gain in 25 weeks. Remember that while this looks quite bad compared to the buy and hold investor, it is only 25 weeks and the moving average has had to be patient waiting for 50 day moving average to move above the 200 moving average for the ETFs from the balanced ETF portfolio.
