ETF Trading Strategies: Buy and Hold vs. Moving Average Week 10

Hard to believe, but it's been 10 weeks since I started comparing a Buy and Hold ETF portfolio vs. a moving average ETF trading strategy. Investor A (Buy and Hold) increased his lead another 6% plus in the past week! Investor A's total portfolio value is now $12,503.62 for a gain of 24.5% in just 10 weeks. This is the ninth week in a row with an increase in value.

Investor B (50 day moving average/200 day moving average ETF trading) is only holding one of the 10 ETFs from the balanced portfolio. His total portfolio was pretty much unchanged this week and is $10,020.15. His performance is holding at -.2%. He is waiting for the 50 day moving average to cross above the 200 day moving average on the other 9 ETFs before buying.

I thought I would do something a little different with the graphical representation by showing it on a weekly basis. Feel free to sign up for the free ETF Newsletter and I’ll send you weekly updates of the progress between Investors A and B.

You can click on the graph and it will open in a bigger size making it easier to view.
